Kiwisport

In the past two weeks we have been in sports on every day except Tuesday because we have had Kiwisport with Christchurch Boys High. They have been teaching us touch rugby. At the end, we got lollies. I have had fun, and also we gave them a copy of "Stop Sign", our song that Gus and I made up.

Cross Country

On September the 24th me and the cross country team are going up to Nelson for a run with all the the other finalists from different schools.e are traveling up in cars but the Canterbury team e.g Harry Henry and Emily and the rest of the Canterbury team are going up in buses.

Sparkle Sammy is becoming a great Team Player

I am a Team player because I support others and I play fairly and I give my best effort for the team.

        teams triathlon 

It’s the day of the triathlon I’m getting changed the bell rings ding ding ding. My team and me. rush down to the poll. We put are stuff down and get are numbers on are left arm. I go into the pool area and sit down. I wait and wait and wait the people before me go now it’s my turn. Then Mrs ray says 10 wait so I wait do some star jumps to keep warm. Then I’m up 10 second’s 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 GO!! Splash! The water was freezing the second I got in I got brain freeze. I’m coming second place. I get out and tag Gus. Then off he goes on his bike.

 

 

I watch my mum on her swim and rush over to the field and suddenly I see Gus trying fixing his bike. He just got in 3^rd place he tags Harry

Of Harry goes on his run me and Gus wait harry comes round the conner and goes for the final sprint it was all over and we came 4^th. We  were disappointed but there’s always the weet-bix

 

 

Waterfall Walk

Waterfall walk

Sweat was pouring 

down my back

and my legs 

were floppy and

sore. 

How much longer to go

but I’ll tell you

We had just arrived at Hanmer. We had put are stuff in our cabins.

We were out in the hot sun in our activity Groups A;B;C;D. A;B and D

were going on the hike. Group C was going mountain biking. Off we went. Now we were in the car going down a rocky road. After about 5;10 mins  we were there.

Getting out of the car we got in to our groups. We had a count and off

we went. My group is first, B. We walked in. There were millions of wasps. Harry was spraying his Aerogaurd madly trying to keep the wasps away. If you stopped and listened you could hear the buzzing really well. 

The walk was up hill. Basically all the way the path was muddy and dirty  and surrounded by trees. Sometimes the sun would slip through the gaps in the trees. At some points there were great views. As I walked my legs started to hurt.

Harry moaned madly behind me. We had a stop. Everyone sat down and had a bite and a drink. Harry moaned again but this time about the food He was starving but that was his problem. We just walked another 2 hours. We were finally there at the waterfall. My legs were killing me. The waterfall was massive. I made it up but now I had to come down.

        Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
