Soap Carving

Yesterday Miles Kaukau came in to teach us how to soap carve once again.
I had a lot of fun.
I had a little bit of trouble because my raindrop came out too small but the decorations made it better.
I had learned how to make decorations.

Soap carving by CC

Today Mr KauKau came in and we did some soap carving. It was so fun because we did no school work. It took all day to do it but was worth it. We put Paua in it. We used different types of carving knifes to carve it. I really enjoyed it.

Soap Carving

Today we did soap carving with Mr Kaukau. It was heaps of fun and very challenging! First Mr Kaukau told us things about respecting our elders and then we got on to the fun part, DOING THE SOAP CARVING!! Our designs represent our family, and your mum and dad are the big bits of paua and your brothers and sisters are the korus on the sides of the carving. You have to use lots of detail when carving your soap and you have to be very skilled like Mr Kaukau, Megan and Molly. Overall Megan's turned out all right, but Molly's was a total mess!!
